Feb 25, 2022 · Leave a Comment

Dairy Queen has been around for what seems like forever (since 1940 actually!) With their famous and delicious blizzards, they are an icon of the U.S.

But it got me wondering, since Dairy Queen has been around for so long, have they kept up with the times? Are the accepting Apple Pay in their stores? We looked into it and this is what we found….

Does Dairy Queen Take Apple Pay?

Yes, you can use Apple Pay in most Dairy Queen locations. The stores always upgrade their systems based on the popular payment trends in the market. Some remote Dairy Queen locations might not accept Apple Pay but the majority do as of 2022.

In 2010, they upgraded all their systems to match the popular contactless payment trend. With the corporate’s approval of POSitouch and ParBrink POS systems, they can now accept mobile payments such as Apple pay.

You can add your preferred card to your mobile wallet and pay using Apple pay at any Dairy Queen that accepts this mode of payment.

The systems allow you to pay for the services inside the store and when served at the drive-through. Apple pay can only be used when paying for in-person purchases and not for orders through the app.

Some of the Dairy Queen restaurants are still using cash payments because of the franchise system of the corporation.

For instance, you may have to contact the stores in remote areas or areas near your location in advance to confirm if they accept mobile wallets. You can find these nearest stores with their contacts on their websites.
