How Much Do Amazon Delivery Drivers Make?
As of 2018, Amazon raised its minimum wage for U.S. employees to $15 an hour. Many seasonal workers do see a pay raise as well as they get more experience and work overtime during the busy holidays.
Amazon’s minimum wage is higher than most other companies.
Regardless of this, if you wish to give your Amazon delivery driver a tip for a job well done, they are likely to greatly appreciate it.
How Can You Tip An Amazon Driver?
Amazon doe not give the option on their site to tip their drivers or staff (unless you are on Amazon Fresh.)
So if you want to give your driver a tip, you’ll have to be home when they are delivering your products to ensure they get the tip.
A small tip of $3-$5 is sure to make their day as they don’t receive many (if any) tips.
If you aren’t home and don’t have a doorman in your building, you can try leaving an envelope on your door. This is however, very risky as anyone who walks by your apartment can see it and take it for themselves.
It is not expected to tip Amazon delivery drivers for standard items you’ve ordered.
However, if you are ordering groceries through Amazon Fresh, most people do leave a small tip of $3-$5 per order.
